Informatization of forestry is going on in Russia

Beginning from September 2012 extracts from the state forestry register are planned to be introduced in electronic format. One should note that at present time the federal legislation is busy with introduction of two basic principles at legislative level: from one side any citizen of Russia has the right to get all public services in electronic format and from the other side the authorities aren’t righteous to demand any documents from declarant if these documents are already available in the state or municipal structures.

The site of the first federal forestry news agency “GREENPRESS” reports that by the end of 2012 all preparatory arrangements, dealt with the transition to the electronic document circulation, have to be completed.

Forestry declarations and reports concerning the use of forests will be converted into e-format later – by July 2013.
