More and more citizens of Bashkiria prefer internet to bank offices

The splash of popularity of online banking is registered in Bashkortostan in 2011. One third of citizens RB, having bank accounts, prefer online services for today and among organizations this figure reaches 50%.

“The share of corporate accounts, served online, increased from 48 to 50% and among natural persons – from 20 to 30%” – the chairman of the National Bank RB Rustem Mardanov reported.

Bashkortostan holds leading positions in the country in internet banking. Thus, the Republic is found on the first place in Volga federal district and on the sixth in Russia by the number of distributed bank cards. The share of non-cash payments has increased from 24 to almost 32% in 2011. The number of cash machines in the Republic increased by more than 22% - almost to 15 thousand.
