Credits in Bashkiria are more popular than deposits

The number of people, wishing to take a credit in Bashkiria, is much higher than those, who decided to make a deposit. As the chairman of the National Bank RB Rustem Mardanov reported, these people are mainly villagers.

“According to the results of our surveys only 8% of people intend to open deposits in the nearest future, while 48% would like to take credits” – he said.

Rustem Mardanov called low level of so-called “deposit activity” of citizens the main reason why in 2011 the republic had failed to execute the plan on deposit financial provision. In spite of the growth of deposits by 21% its level made up just 52% instead of preliminary planned 56-58%. The head of the National Bank has underscored that it was the only task the bankers failed to cope with in 2011. All other tasks have been fulfilled quite successfully.

Rustem Mardanov has called launching of the pilot project for financing of house building with the help of the system of building savings as one of the efficient methods for attraction of people’s means.
