JSC “Soda” intends to refuse from the use of black oil

JSC “Soda” continues working over energy-saving and the rise of energy efficiency and converting of soda furnaces from black oil to gas was one of the main arrangements in this sphere.

“We intend to refuse from the use of black oil, converting our soda furnaces to gas, as a better fuel from the point of view of energy efficiency, thus reducing negative impact on environment” – the executive director of JSC “Soda” Sergey Lobastov reported.

At present time natural gas is considered the most important primary source of energy. This is a highly economical energy fuel, contributing to reduction of cost in manufacturing of the main plant’s product – soda ash.

Till the end of this year the works for converting of soda furnaces to gas will be completed. This step will let reduce the harmful atmospheric emissions to 5 thousand tons per year.
