Trade-Industry Chamber RB: cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bashkortostan will be developed

Some days ago the business delegation of Bashkortostan, headed by the vice-president of the Trade-Industry Chamber RB Azat Fazlyev, has returned from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The head of the Presidential Administration's external and interregional relations department Ruslan Mirsayapov and the vice-president of the Trade-Industry Chamber RB Azat Fazlyev told about the results of the visit to the journalists.

"If talking about the history of our relations, our visit was the answer to the visit of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the first international forum "Big Chemistry" and that time their delegation was headed by the chairman of Jidda Trade-Industry Chamber, sheikh Salekh Kamel. The agreement about cooperation between out trade-industry chambers was signed within the frames of the forum. We've agreed that presentation of Bashkortostan's potential will be held in Saudi Arabia. This decision was approved by our diplomats, the Consul General in Jidda and by the Russian Ambassador in Saudi Arabia" - Ruslan Mirsayapov told.

Maximal reporting about Bashkortostan for business circles of Saudi Arabia was the main goal of the trip. The film in English language about agricultural, investment and innovational potential of Bashkortostan was demonstrated in Jidda. One more film was devoted to life and activity of the first Soviet Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Bashkir compatriot Karim Khakimov, who once stood near the springs of friendship between our countries.

As Azat Fazlyev told, presentation of two Bashkir banks, working in sphere of Islamic finances, has taken place in Jidda: this is "BASHCOMSNABBANK" and the office of the first Russian Halal bank "VOSTOKCAPITALBANK", opened in Ufa some days ago.

"We demonstrated Bashkortostan as a Russian region with stable economics and with its own competitive advantages. We respect their culture and religion. The Muslim part of our delegation has made a small hajj. All that makes us closer and helps to establish mutually beneficial business relations. I am sure we will sign several good deals" - Azat Fazlyev said.

Republican delegation consisted of representatives of several big local enterprises, specializing in machine building in sphere of oil business, such as, for instance, the company "URALTECHNOSTROY", working in the Middle East for many years.

The vice-president of the Trade-Industry Chamber RB called food supplies one more important direction in cooperation with Saudi Arabia. The climatic conditions in the Kingdom don't let local farmers cultivate the traditional crops, which the main food allowance of local population consists of.

"The representatives of one of the biggest companies in Saudi Arabia offered us to find the partner for food supplies in the Republic. We suggested that they should take part in the investments into Bashkir economics for establishment of new productions with further sales in their country. Besides, we've settled that our Halal committee will continue certifying our enterprises by the Halal standards and this is one more our advantage for penetration into the Arab food markets. Participation in the building contracts is one more interesting direction for us. The Kingdom maintains active house building, its social sphere is rapidly developing. Thus, the Monarch allocated 90 billion dollars for construction of flats for young couples (about 500 thousand flats) and we can take part in this process".
