95% of Russians are ready to spend money for New Year gifts

Practically all citizens of Russian big cities either intend to buy or already bought New Year presents for their relatives and the majority of them don't consider such expenses unavailing. One of Russian commercial banks has published the results of its own sociological poll, made in December. 1200 people at the age of 20 and older, having at least one experience of crediting, have taken part in the questioning. The ratio between men and women is equal and at that 49% of people are Muscovites and 51% - residents of other big Russian cities.
As it turned out, 95% of the interrogated intend to make presents for the forthcoming New Year, irrespective of anything. Russians consider New Year gifts quite important and are ready to spend a part of their family budgets for it. At that the average sum the citizens are ready to spend looks rather impressive and amounts to 9 thousand rubles.
