The company has many promising projects, such as possible construction of big oil-chemical complex "ZAPSIBNEFTEHIM", the units for production of polymers and others. Dmitry Konov has specially marked the projects, connected with Bashkiria.
"We respect the leadership of Republic of Bashkortostan and the international forum "Big Chemistry", initiated by the President RB Rustem Khamitov. We will take part in the forum in 2012 but we don't know yet in what role. This role will be determined in the severe competitive struggle between several oil-chemical and oil-gas companies for the right to be the leader" - Dmitry Konov said.
The first international forum "Big Chemistry" has taken place in Ufa in May 2011. The second one is scheduled on May 2012.
Dmitry Konov has turned attention to the prospects of the polyether complex, working on the territory RB.
"We intend to raise the output of terephthalic acid and polyethylene terephthalate on the site of "POLYEF"".
For today "POLYEF" is the only producer of terephthalic acid in Russia. The production capacity is 250 thousand tons of terephthalic acid and 136 thousand tons of high-quality granulated terephthalate per year. By the middle of 2013 the plant's production capacity on polyethylene terephthalate is planned to increase up to 200 thousand tons per year and the overall volume of investments to the project can reach 1,6 billion rubles.
The company "SIBUR" is the biggest oil-chemical company of Russia and Eastern Europe. The company is busy with gas processing and production of plastics, synthetic resins and monomers. "SIBUR" is a vertically integrated company, where the gas-processing plants supply the oil- chemical productions with own staff. In the Russian market "SIBUR" processes more than a half of the accompanying oil gas and produces 22% of propylene, 19% of polypropylene, 16% of polyethylene, 44% of synthetic resins and a substantial part of other oil-chemical products.
