The head of the National Bank RB: "Bashkiria have all opportunities for raising the volumes of crediting"

The banks in Bashkiria substantially improved the showings of their activity and reached the main goals, fixed in the strategy for development of the Republican bank sector till 2015, the chairman of the National Bank RB Rustem Mardanov stated.

In the first turn he marked high crediting activity in the region.

"The plans we indicated by 2011 can become even ahead of the schedule" - he stated.

The growth of crediting will make up approximately 22-24%, as compared with the beginning of the year, and the absolute crediting volume will be on the level of 375 billion rubles".

The network of the bank institutions in Bashkiria is developing better than in Russia in a whole and while the number of banks in Russia is going down, the increase of their number in the Republic made up about 8%.

"We are found on the fifth place in Russia by the number of banks" - Rustem Mardanov said - "Three thousand people fall on one bank office in Bashkiria and in Russia this showing is equal to 3200".

Lowering of the volumes of overdue credit indebtedness is considered one of the main criteria in development of the bank sector.

"It is very important that we managed to lower the volumes of credit indebtedness and to improve the quality of available credits" - the head of the National Bank RB reported - "Here our results are much better than in the country in a whole. The overdue credit indebtedness in Russia increased by 13%, while in the Republic it on the contrary dropped by 22%. This process is going on both on personal and corporate credits, giving us a chance to raise the volumes of crediting in the nearest future".
