The first all-Russian forum for social tourism will be opened in Ufa

The first all-Russian forum re the problems of social tourism will be opened in Ufa on December 15. More than 200 participants fr om many Russian regions have already arrived in Ufa. The representatives of the federal center and international experts for social tourism from foreign countries arrived too. Heads of Bashkir ministries and departments, republican municipalities, representatives of public and business organizations and Russian educational and scientific institutions will take part in the forum too.

The forum is initiated by the Government RB and organized by the Federal Tourism Agency.

Making the conditions for social tourism in Russian regions on the base of the Bashkortostan's experience, development and support of social tourism in the country are the main goals of the forthcoming forum.

It is worth mentioning that the decision concerning launching of the Republican program for social tourism was made in the Republic at the end of the last year. This initiative was supported by the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev in the course of his talk with the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov. The program for development of social tourism in Bashkiria was elaborated and approved in April 2011 and the rate of its financing was determined at 36,9 million rubles.

Thanks to this program pensioners and disabled people may figure on the state subsidies for payment of tourist vouchers up to 70% of their cost but not more than 11,1 thousand rubles for per one voucher. For example, thanks to this project elderly people might have their rest in Turkey just for 5 thousand rubles. For today Republic of Bashkortostan remains the only Russian region, wh ere such project is realized.
