Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the first all-Russian forum, devoted to social tourism, in Ufa

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the first all-Russian forum, devoted to social tourism and held in Ufa.

“Bashkortostan is one of the leaders of social tourism in Russia” - the President RB said, opening the forum - “And we will continue working in this direction further. We have all opportunities for that”. The President RB has mentioned that the region is one of the most beautiful nooks in Russia, found in the European part of the country. It gives plenty chances for organization of really wide tourist business here.

The President RB estimated the program for development of social tourism in the Republic and mentioned that the philosophy in development of such direction was to give elderly and disabled people a chance to feel themselves really full-grown members of the society and participants of modern processes, occurring in this society.

“Launching this program we were acting on the premise that the state and the authority should stand close to ordinary people on any stage. It is senseless talking about construction of some big objects and wide-scaled programs, which can become a reality by 2020, since people are interested in today's life”.

The President RB has underscored that Bashkortostan has great potential for sanatorium-and-spa treatment, traveling and tourism.

“At the same time ordinary people can't afford themselves to go abroad and to other Bashkir regions and we have real desire to help these people”.

In according to the President RB development of children's tourism in the Republic is the next step.

“We want the children from the remotest regions of our Republic would be able to visit Moscow and see the beauties of our land” - Rustem Khamitov said - “The budget RB amounts to 120 billion rubles and we can afford ourselves to spend one tenth percent of the budget for social tourism, we mustn't spare means for the good deeds”.

The agreement of cooperation in sphere of tourism was signed today between the Government RB and the Federal Tourism Agency. The document is signed by the President RB Rustem Khamitov and the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Alexander Radkov.
