The zones for extra state support can be opened in Russian regions

The zones of territorial development can be opened in those regions, which need additional state backing. The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed the corresponding federal law on December 3,2011, the site of the President of Russia reports.

The matter is a part of the territory inside a region, which can unite several municipalities. As it is said in the document, “the measures of state backing can be provided for legal persons and individual businessmen in order to form favorable conditions for investments, thereby accelerating social-economic development in such zones”. These favorable conditions can represent the additional budget appropriations from the Russian Investment Fund, opening of new power-engineering and transport objects, necessary for business undertakings and other economic activity, tax benefits and investment tax credits, subsidies for support of local business and state guarantees for credits.

In Bashkiria the northeastern sub-region, which staff includes eight Bashkir regions, can become such zone. The deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB, the head of the Bashkir Government's Machinery Ilshat Tajitdinov, who heads the coordination council, responsible for development of the program for social-economic development of this territory, already stated about the necessity to include the northeast of the Republic into the list of such zones. This list will be approved by the Russian Government on the base of several indices for the last decade: unemployment, migration, the level of death rate, the share of dilapidated housing etc. The zones for territorial development will be made for the period of 12 years.
