Rustem Khamitov met an official delegation of Malaysia

On Tuesday, November 8, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting with the representatives of business circles from Malaysia. The meeting was held with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia in Russian Federation Zainol Abidin Omar and the problems of economic cooperation were under discussion in the course of it.
The President of Bashkortostan has acquainted the guests with the social-economic development of the region and with the industrial potential of Bashkortostan. The President has mentioned that the first agreements of cooperation were signed in June during the visit of the delegation from Malaysia. At present time the parties need real deeds, moreover the potential for mutual cooperation is great.
The President of Bashkortostan has mentioned that the Republic is considered an attractive region for investments. The inflow of investments in 2011 is expected for the sum of more than 5 billion dollars and businessmen from Saudi Arabia, Germany , Japan and South Korea are already actively working in the region. Bashkortostan is ready to start cooperating with Malaysia, the President RB underscored. He has mentioned that personally guarantees comfortable conditions for the investors and the law, providing for the substantial preferences for investors and signed just several days ago, can be regarded as an example of such approach.
The chief Minister of Pakhang state M-r Adnan bin Hadji Jacob has thanked the President of Bashkortostan for personal meeting with the delegation from Malaysia. He has told about political situation in the region, characterizing it as stable. The chief Minister has underscored that Malaysia is interested in development of cooperation in sphere of bio-technologies, in business relations with the Ufa Engine Plant (UMPO) and told about establishment of the center for transplantation of stem cells. The Minister has expressed hope that the points for further cooperation will be determined in the course of the visit.
