KUMAPP will export helicopters to China

The “Kumertausskoe aviation production enterprise” (KUMAPP) will deliver helicopters for China. The agreement about it is signed by the holding company “Helicopters of Russia”, found in the staff of the united industrial corporation “Oboronprom”, and by the chief public security dept of the Chinese town of Ordosa.

The multi-purpose helicopter KA-32A11BC is manufactured by KUMAPP, it is equipped with the fire extinguishing system “Simplex”, the horizontal water-cannon and the overflow unit. The holding company has won the tender for the export of this helicopter in August this year. The deliveries are scheduled on September 2012.

The complex of high exploitation properties allows efficiently using this model of helicopter for fire extinguishing. The helicopter is widely used by the Russian Ministry for emergency situations and by the rescue services of Spain, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece and South Korea.

High available power of the helicopter allows transporting up to 5 tons of water. The press-service of the enterprise reports the helicopter is able to work in conditions of high smoke and dust level. It is able to extinguish fire on oil tankers and at enterprises of fuel, chemical and oil-refining industry, in the regions of oil and gas mining and on the upper floors of sky-scrapers.

At present time the enterprise has already assembled more than 140 helicopters, used by more than 30 countries. One KA-32A11BC is already working in China at the Chinese Institute for Polar Investigations.
