Bashkortostan will unite businessmen from Italy and Russia in 2012

Delegation of Bashkortostan, headed by the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB, the Minister of industry and innovational policy RB Marat Mulukov, has taken part in the XIX gathering of the Russian-Italian workgroup for industrial districts and cooperation in sphere of small and medium business in the town of Catania, Sicily.

Almost 400 businessmen, representatives of local administrations and organizations, banks and investment companies presented the Italian party.

The press-service of the Government RB reports four thematic “round tables” have taken place within the frames of the IXI gathering of the Russian-Italian workgroup, where the problems of logistics and shipbuilding, cooperation in sphere of traditional and alternative power engineering were under consideration. Other two “round tables” were dedicated to innovations in such spheres as building and food technologies.

One of the seminars, held within the frames of the gathering, covered the subject-matter of tourist infrastructure and services – hotel, thermal and restaurant business. The Italian businessmen were also interested in the second seminar, which presented financial instruments for crediting of small and medium enterprises, working in the Russian market.

According to the results of the last summit it was decided to hold the next XX gathering in Ufa in spring 2012.

The previous gathering of the Russian-Italian workgroup has taken place in May 2011 in Ulyanovsk and representatives of 27 Russian regions and Italy – more than 500 people – representatives of Russian and Italian business, including banks, financial institutions, sectoral federations, the Union of Trade Chambers, universities and techno-parks – have taken part in it.

For the reference: The workgroup was established in 2002 thanks to the agreement, concluded by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Prime-Minister of Italy Silvio Berluskoni for establishment of the industrial clusters and special economic zones on the territory of Russian Federation, activation of mutual contacts in sphere of industrial co-operation and scientific-technical cooperation on regional and corporate levels.
