Best municipalities receive million-strong grants

Bashkir municipalities received an additional incentive to development. The best of them may figure on solid grants – up to 200 million rubles. The sum is meant for one year and the totals are summed up every quarter. The rate of the municipalities is composed by the Ministry of economic development RB, estimating its participants by six different parameters – for example by the level of investment activity. In opinion of the Minister of economic development of Bashkortostan Eugene Mavrin the competitive spirit between the municipalities can bring very good results, if this process proved to be efficient.

The Minister says the development of Bashkir territories is one of the prior problems, posed by the Republican leadership today. “To make our municipalities not subsidized but self-sufficient is our global aim” – the Minister underscored.
