A light aviation cluster to be established in Bashkortostan

The meeting re foundation of the center for light and super-light aviation in the Republic has taken place in the Government House RB on September 20.

“The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov made the decision to establish a cluster for light and super-light aviation” – the Prime-Minister of the Government RB Azamat Ilimbetov said – “This idea was also approved by the Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin during his visit to the stand of Bashkortostan, where the helicopter “ROTORFLY” and the double aircraft “Netsling-2” were presented, at the international investment forum “Sochi-2011”.

It is planned that the means from the federal subsidies will be allocated for the cluster in Bashkortostan. The chairman of the Light Aviation Federation RB Sergey Minigulov is appointed the director of the center for cluster development of light and super-light aviation, the press-service of the Government RB reports.

For the reference: The designing of the helicopter “ROTORFLY” started in 2001 jointly with the “KUMERTAUSSKOE aviation production enterprise”. The first model was built and successfully tested in 2005. The takeoff weight of the helicopter R-30 “ROTORFLY” is just 490 kilograms. It is able to fly at the speed up to 160 km/ hour and can cover 400 kilometers without fuelling. The maximal height is 4500 meters and fuel consumption is rather low – 15 liters/ hour. The helicopter can be used for patrolling and agricultural works.
