Japanese delegation made presentation of a combustion plant in Ufa

Galina Bakshieva
Presentation of the combustion plant, designed by Mitsubishi, which analogue is still absent anywhere in Russia, has taken place in Ufa. It is quite possible that Bashkortostan will become the first region in Russian Federation, where such plant is erected.
As the representatives of the delegation from Japan, found in the Republic now, say, their system of gasification and melting permits to reduce the amount of ashes by 50-70% and to generate the electric energy, using the renewable energy resources. One more advantage is that during the high-temperature incineration the number of dioxins can be lower than the level, set by the European standards. Besides, the metals, containing in the waste, for instance aluminum, iron and steel, can be restored and used as a secondary staff. The slugs, generated as a result of the ashes melting, can be used in civil engineering, for example, in the road coating.
“At present time this is one of the leading technologies, based on observation of all ecological standards and laws. The capacity of the plant, which we intend to erect in Bashkiria, reaches 240 tons of garbage daily. At that the plant has completely enclosed contour, the transport system works on the locking principle, so any smell is absent, not talking about the adjacent territory” – the chief representative of Mitsubishi in Moscow M-r Bunta Miura said.
Only 34 people serve such plant in Japan. The area production is 91x55 meters, so it can be erected either directly in a city or in the suburbs. The plant is meant for incineration of practically any domestic garbage except mercury lamps and batteries.
The Bashkir party, interested in erection of incineration plants on the territory of the Republic, still didn’t give the final answer to the representatives of Mitsubishi. As the Minister of nature management and ecology RB Azat Kutliakhmetov says, the project is really interesting and necessary.
“It is clear that such plant will positive affect the ecology in the region. At present time we haven’t such plants on our territory and the problem of waste recycling is considered one of the most serious for us, so if we manage to find the common grounds with the representatives of “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd”, it is quite possible that such production will start working here” – the Minister said.
