A parcel of seeds from Uzbekistan is arrested at the airport of Ufa

The Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision in Bashkortostan arrested a parcel of seeds at the international airport of Ufa.

“These were the seeds of fennel, parsley and other greengrocery crops. We arrested 1,2 kg of seeds. A citizen of Uzbekistan tried to smuggle the seeds in his hand luggage” – the specialists of the Agency explained to the news agency “Bashinform”.

The main reason of the arrest was the absence of the phytosanitary certificate from the exporting country. In accordance with the Russian legislation the person, guilty in such illegal carriage, becomes answerable for this violation and the seeds are liquidated.
