The biggest kystyby in the world will be cooked in Ufa at the all-Russian festival “Milky Country-2011”, appointed on September 3. The Vice-Premier of the Government RB, the Minister of agriculture RB Ernst Isaev told about that at today’s press-conference in the news agency “Bashinform”. This national Bashkir dish will be prepared by the cooks from the restaurant “AKBUZAT” on the Lenin’s Square under close control of the spectators – citizens and guests of Ufa. This giant national dish should be included into the “Guinness Record Book”.
Before the eyes of the festival’s guests the cooks will roll out the flat cake, made of unleavened dough 2 meters in diameter. For that the masters from the state unitary arts and crafts enterprise “AGIDEL” have already fashioned the huge rolling-pin more than 2,5 meters lengthwise.
Kystyby will be baked on the frying pan, burnt red on the smoldering embers. The size of the frying pan is also impressing – 6,25 square meters and more than 50kg of embers will be necessary to heat it up. The kystyby’s filling represents the potato mash with milk and butter. It should be mentioned that only the foods, made in Bashkortostan, will be used for cooking the kystyby.
