The President RB viewed the complex of machine-building enterprises in Kaluga region

On August 8 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov viewed the enterprises of machine-building complex in the industrial park “Grabtsevo”. The production of “Volkswagen” cars is located on the territory of this cluster and more than five thousand people work here.

The President RB visited the production areas of the company “GESTAMP-SEVERSTAL-Kaluga” – the joint venture of JSC “SEVERSTAL” and the Spanish company “GESTAMP”.

The forming production was opened here in 2010. It produces the body parts for cars. The enterprise is equipped with several press lines and provides for the full cycle of metalworking - from a metal roll to a body part. The production volume amounts to 13 million pressed parts annually. The staff is 160 workers.

“Volkswagen Group Rus”, “PSA Peugeot Citroen” and “Renault AVTOFRAMOS” are the main consumers of the plant’s output. The investments to the project made up about 89 million euro, the public affairs service of the President RB reported.
