Foreign cars predominate in Bashkir import

Netherlands, the USA and China have become the main trade partners of Bashkortostan in the first half of 2011 and almost 40% of export fall on the share of these three countries. As for import, Uzbekistan, China and Ukraine remain the leaders, proving for more than a half (51,7%) of all foreign intakes.

The press-service of the Bashkir custom-house reports in the first half of 2011 local business circles maintained business relations with the representatives of 85 countries. The external trade turnover made up 1860,2 million USD, including export – 1602,4 million (86,1% of the overall external trade circulation) and import – 257,8 million (13,9%). As compared with the same period of time in 2010 the trade circulation has slightly gone down – by 4,6% and mainly due to the expert decrease – by 8,8%. The import volume on the contrary substantially went up – by 33,4%.

The output of the Republican fuel-energy complex prevails in the trade export structure – 54,2%, chemical industry makes up 29,9%, metals and metal wares – 7%.

The motor-car goods, mainly cars of foreign origin, make up more than 60% of the imported goods. Chemicals stand on the second position – 167,4% and metals and metal wares – on the third (7%).

It is also stated that the share of trade with foreign countries increased, as compared with 2010 – 85,4% against 78,1% in 2010. Correspondingly the share of CIS states dropped from 21,9% to 14,6%. The increase of the export operations is marked in the trade with the partners from foreign countries – by 2,1%, import – by 27,8%. The volume of trade export with CIS countries dropped by 49,5% and the import volume on the contrary went up by 46,2%.
