Rustem Khamitov: “Bashkortostan will erect 1,4 million square meters of low-height housing in 2011”

By the end of the year about 16 thousand low-height cottages will be erected in Bashkortostan and by this showing our Republic stands in the Top 5 of Russian leaders, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov reported on Friday to the news agency “Interfax-Volga”.
“By the end of the year we have to erect 1 million 400 thousand square meters of low-height individual housing – i.e. approximately 16 thousand cottages. We are the leaders by this showing and we stand in the Top 5 of the best Russian regions. Our population, which builds mainly self-dependently, relieves us but we try to make this construction cheaper, distributing ground areas free and making all necessary infrastructure” – Rustem Khamitov stated.
He has mentioned that in 2011 the regional authority will invest about 600 million rubles to the infrastructure for the individual house-building.
“We intend to spend about 600 million rubles for the infrastructure for individual house-building and with the construction of roads our expenses will reach almost 1 billion 400 million rubles – these are our summary expenses for this year, so our people go on building because they see that we can help them, providing them with gas, electric energy and good roads” – the head of the region stated.
