One fourth of subscribers in Bashkortostan use “advanced” mobile phones

The high-speed mobile internet in Bashkortostan is available for every fourth subscriber. According to information of the news and analytical agency “Telecom Daily” (Moscow) more than 23% of mobile phones, found in circulation, support 3G technology.

“This is the data on the middle of July and by the end of the year the number of such phones in the region can exceed 30% of the overall number” – the director of “Telecom Daily” Denis Kuskov said at the press-conference in Ufa.

As the news agency “Bashinform reported earlier, the investigation of the quality of mobile providers’ services has become the reason of his arrival in the capital RB.

Denis Kuskov has also mentioned that by the number of “advanced” phones Bashkiria stands in the middle of the list of Russian regions.

“The index of 3G-phones in the country is about 24% and in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg this index exceeds 33%” – the head of the agency reported.

According to him two capitals leave over Russian citizens with the population one million people by the speed of data transference with the help of mobile internet behind and with the substantial gap. Thus, the average speed in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg is 6-7 megabit per second – two times higher than, for example, in Ufa, where this figure amounts to 2,45 megabit. The maximal data transference speed in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg reaches 10 megabit/ sec, while in the Bashkir capital it doesn’t exceed 5-6 megabit.

Denis Kuskov has underscored that for development of such service as high-speed mobile internet, so necessary in modern rhythm of life, in the region, the network of the mobile providers and putting of new base stations into operation are required.
