Contest of kumis to be held in Bashkortostan

The Republican seminar re the balance of cattle-breeding in the first half of 2011 will take place on Friday, July 15, in Burziansky region of Bashkortostan. Agrarians will discuss development of horse breeding and specialists will estimate the quality of the national drink “kumis” (horse milk) at the Republican kumis contest, as the press-service of the Ministry of agriculture RB reported.

Representatives of the Ministry of agriculture RB, chief zootechnicians, heads of the farmings, intending to start production of horse milk, and heads of lower organizations will take part in the seminar. They will sum up the balance of the Republican cattle-breeding for the first six months 2011 and will discuss the prospects of horse breeding in Bashkortostan in a whole. Besides, the participants of the seminar intend to inspect several kumis farms in the region.
