The sum of cashless operations in Bashkortostan has grown by one fourth

Bank cards are becoming more and more popular account instrument among citizens and guests of Bashkortostan. In the first quarter of 2011 the sum of the cashless operations (i.e. with the help of the bank cards) has increased by almost one fourth as compared with the same period of time in 2010.

The increase of the share of cashless calculations is one of the prior directions of the Strategy for development of the bank sector RB in 2011-2015. On April 1, 2011, all 11Republican and 34 foreign banks took part in the card calculation system. The infrastructure of the card service in Bashkortostan consists of more than 3100 cash machines, which number has increased by almost one third for one year (April 1, 2010 – April 1, 2011), almost 2500 terminals in cash centers (the growth is 41,9%) and about 11000 electronic terminals, installed at trade and service organizations (+14,2%).
