UMPO to become a purveyor of details for Russian helicopter engines

JSC “Ufa Engine Plant” (UMPO) will produce details and components for the Russian helicopter engines of TB3-117 and BK-2500 types.

The UMPO press-service reports the details and units for the helicopter engines have passed typical and long-term tests. The pilot batch workpieces has been delivered for JSC “KAMOV” in November 2011. The management company “United Machine-Tool Corporation” ordered UMPO to start mastering and serial production of the units for the engines TB3-117/BK-2500 and serial production of the unites of BK-2500 type. All units will be produced jointly with JSC “KLIMOV”, JSC “Moscow machine-building enterprise by V.V. Chernyshev”, JSC “Ural Civil Aviation Plant” and JSC “Red October”.
