The situation with forest fires in Bashkortostan remains quiet

Despite the information given by several mass-media, the situation with forest fires in Bashkortostan continues to remain quiet. Thus, from the beginning of the year in the wooded territory of our republic 54 fires were registered.

— All forest fires were liquidated in due time. The total area of the wood affected with fire made a little more than 370 hectares, — Farit Zamanov, the chief of department of information-analytical support and organizational work of the Ministry of Forestry of Bashkortostan told the "Bashinform" agency. – From them 26 fires developed because of careless handling of fire by people, one – at the lumbering operation place, four – because of agricultural burnings, one from a lightning discharge. The reason of other 22 forest fires is not found out yet.

Current spot fires in the wooded territory of the republic are not registered for the last days. The last forest fire which happened in the region occurred on May 29 in Zilairsky region. The fire area made about one hectare there.
