Agrarians of Bashkortostan are planning to gather over one million tons of potato

Agricultural producers and farmers of our republic have planted potato tubers on 3,5 thousand hectares. In a private sector plantation of the alternative bread exceeded 90 thousand hectares. From these areas under usual conditions it is possible to gather over one million tons of potato, the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan informs.

— It is enough to completely provide all population and republican organisations (basically public catering establishments, hospitals, kindergartens, schools) with the «alternative bread», — Arthur Nugumanov, the Head of department of plant growing and land improvement progressive technologies of the Ministry of Agriculture RB said.

Agricultural and country (farming) enterprises of Bashkortostan are completely provided with a planting material for this industrial crop. The cooperative "Syun" of Ilishevsky region, cooperative «Salavat Collective Farm» of Meleuzovsky region, the enteprise with the same name of Sterlitamaksky region and several others are among the main potato producers in the republic.
