The number of banks in Bashkortostan increased up to 78

The number of the banks, working in Russia, has reduced by 9 credit organizations since the beginning of the year. According to information of the Central Bank of Russia there were 1012 banks in the country on January 1, 2011, and on May 1 this number reduced to 1003. The Central federal district has met with the highest losses, where five banks were excluded from the list of local credit institutions.

The number of banks in Bashkortostan has increased in 2011.

“At present time there are 78 banks, working in Bashkortostan, including 11 Republican ones” – the press-secretary of the Credit Organizations Association RB Dmitry Rudzit reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.

According to information of the National Bank RB there were 76 credit organizations in Bashkortostan in January.
