Guests from the Great Britain arrived in Bashkortostan

The British delegation is found in Ufa on a business visit. It is headed by the Consul General of the Great Britain in Yekaterinburg James McGuire. Representatives of the Great Britain’s Embassy in Russia are also found in the staff of the delegation. During three days British diplomats will examine production, scientific and cultural potential RB. They intend to visit the Ufa energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies center, the company “ECM” and the federal state unitary enterprise “Hydraulics”. The meetings with the leadership of the region, representatives of legislative and executive power, with students and pedagogues of the Bashkir State University are scheduled too.

For the reference: The Great Britain is a traditional business partner of Bashkiria. The highest rates of the external trade circulation RB with the Great Britain have been achieved in 2006 – the trade volumes exceeded 1 billion 284,6 million dollars.

In 2010 the trade circulation between Bashkortostan and the Great Britain made up 109,8 million USD, including export – 104,1 million dollars and import – 5,8 million. On January 1, 2011, the volumes of accumulated British investments in Bashkir economics made up 68,8 million USD. By this index the Great Britain is found in the Top5 of leaders among foreign countries-investors.
