Rustem Kamitov: “We need innovational economics”

“Bashkortostan is a powerful well-developed region of Russian Federation but at the same time this power was always rested on the resource economics. For today the whole world works in other frames and it is quite clear that if we miss the moment of perestroika of our economics towards innovational rails, we take a chance to be left behind – either for a long period of time or even forever. The visit of “ROSNANO” delegation with Anatoly Chubais at the head is one more chance for us to change the preferences in our activity. We need modern technologies, innovational business and innovational economics. All these challenges are too complicated but we have to initiate the real changes” – the President RB Rustem Khamitov has said immediately after the end of the meeting re development of nanotechnologies and nanoindustry, held in the Congress-hall, Ufa, today.

At that the head of the Republic has stated that today we are facing strong competition: the regions start struggling for resources and for the markets of technologies.

“Signing the cooperation protocol between Republic of Bashkortostan and “ROSNANO” we enter a new level of progress” – the President RB has underscored – “We’ll open the sites, where the innovational economics should be built. The work of the Government RB has to be restructured too. We will initiate new laws RB and will start working with industrial enterprises and scientific organizations from different angle. This is a hard job but we have to start it anyhow”.
