Rustem Khamitov has discussed some aspects of cooperation with President of JSC “VTB 24” Michael Zadornov

On April 21 the President RB Rustem Khamitov has held a work meeting with the President of JSC “VTB 24” Michael Zadornov, where the aspects of cooperation between Bashkortostan and the bank “VTB 24” were discussed.

Rustem Khamitov has mentioned that restoration of the leading positions RB in the market of bank services is considered one of the most important aims. “We have all prerequisites for that” – Rustem Khamitov stated.

“Now we are summing up the intermediate results” – Michael Zadirnov said – “Four years ago, when we opened our division here, we planned to have at least 10% of the local crediting market and 6-7% of the market of deposits. “VTB 24” is both the corporate and the retail bank. We wanted to have one bank per 100 thousand people. In the beginning of this year there were 8 our banks in Ufa. Now we intend to open two divisions more plus we already have the divisions in Neftekamsk, Sterlitamac, Oktyabrsky. Now we are third bank in the Republic by crediting and we’d like to hold the second position during this year. Our credit portfolio makes up 8 billion rubles”.

“Unfortunately because of many reasons our Republic has lost its leading positions as the territory on which very big and powerful banks once worked. But what happened, happened. Now we have to restore these positions in Volga federal district. We have all prerequisites for that: we are a big Republic, the biggest in Volga federal district both by territory and by population. And we are undoubtedly found in the Top 10 in Russia and we can’t be satisfied with the situation we are facing in sphere of economics now. We have to find the ways out of some difficult situations, connected with poor financing of our economics, with erection of new enterprises and with attraction of investors” – the President RB answered – “So we are interested in joint work with you, we have much to discuss and we have certain offers, other words, we are ready to start working together”.
