Rustem Khamitov has paid a visit to Ufa refineries

On April 20 the President RB Rustem Khamitov has visited the refineries of Ufa. The head of the Republic has paid a visit to four enterprises, belonging to JSC “BASHNEFT”. The catalytic cracking unit has become the first object in his route. It was launched in 1995. The benzene components are its main products. The unit is considered one of the most profitable at the refinery. Its capacity is meant for processing of 2,5 million tons of oil. In 2009 the unit was modernized. Now it is able to produce benzenes with high octane rating, belonging to the class Euro-4.

JSC “UFAORGSINTEZ” has become the second object in the route. The enterprise produces polyethylene and polypropylene. The production of polypropylene was demonstrated to the President RB. There are only five such units in Russia at present time. Here about 100 thousand tons of polypropylene is produced annually, i.e. 20% of the overall Russian output.

Rustem Khamitov was interested why the enterprise sold polypropylene as a raw material instead of opening a techno-park to produce final products. “We need the end production” – he underscored – “If you initiate this process, we’ll help you. There are real chances for development of small and medium business around the enterprise”.

Further Rustem Khamitov has become acquainted with the prospects of JSC “NOVOIL”. This plant manufactures more than 100 products and its output capacity exceeds 7 million tons of oil products annually. Unlike other Ufa refineries “NOVOIL” produces wide assortment of engine oils. The head of the region has inspected the operating room of two main enterprise’s units.

The slow coking unit at “UFANEFTEHIM” has become the last Presidential halt. The unit was put into exploitation one year ago. Now the unit receives light oil products from heavy remains of oil processing. Thanks to this unit the enterprise has reached the oil processing depth at 95-99% - the best result in Russia.
