Electric energy tariffs in Bashkiria are lower than in neighboring regions

The President RB Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the video-conference among regional governors in staff of Volga federal district re containment of electric energy prices under the chairmanship of the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Gregory Rapota on Friday, April 15. The Minister of power engineering RF Sergey Shmatko has also take part in it.

As the President RB mentioned, after JSC “BASHKIRENERGO” had entered the wholesale energy market, the prices started abruptly going up. They’ve managed to stabilize the situation thanks to timely interference of the Russian Ministry of power engineering, the Federal Tariff Service and the Government RB. The President RB has underscored that today’s electric energy tariffs in the Republic are lower than in neighboring regions and the work on energy saving will be continued.

Rustem Khamitov has reported that financial tariff load on small business, budget organizations and the industrial enterprises with the fixed capacity less than 50 megawatt was lowered and, as a result, those economic agents, which receive electric energy by low consumption rates, will have the rise of prices between 11-15% instead of 20-46%.

“Thereby we’ve normalized the situation” – Rustem Khamitov mentioned – “The diapason for small business, budget organizations and medium enterprises is 10-15% and only the basic consumers and the big companies with the capacity more than 50 megawatt will have the rise of prices by 30-34%. We have just 11 such companies. This situation is adjusted with these industrial enterprises and no objections were raised on this occasion”.
