Bashkiria can become the center of Russian caravanning

Not enough awareness of Russian tourists about tourist opportunities of Bashkiria hampers development of internal and external tourism in the region. From now the information about tourist resources of our Republic will be available on the site of the Russian Tourist Operators Association and it will undoubtedly help tourist development in Bashkiria.
The placement of such information on the Association’s site has become one of the points of the three-sided agreement between the Russian Tourist Operators Association (ATOP), the state business undertakings and tourism committee RB and the Tourist Industry Union RB, signed within the frames of the XI interregional specialized exhibition “Tourism, Sport, Rest, Health Centers of Russia”, held in Ufa on April 5-7.
“Bashkortostan possesses great recreation resources and has to hold worthy place on all tourist maps. Unfortunately until now it remained a white spot for tourists of other regions and countries and all that happened because in one’s time we didn’t pay proper attention to development of marketing in this sphere” – the chairman of the state business undertakings and tourism committee RB Ruslan Kinzikeev says.
The Russian Tourist Operators Association unites 50 Russian operators and 60% of the flow of all tourists, coming to Russia from other countries and the Russians, preferring to have their rest inside the country runs through them.
Besides, the agreement with the Russian Caravanning League was also signed at the exhibition in Ufa. In opinion of the deputy chairman of the League’s regional division Alexander Borovik Bashkiria has all chances to become the center of Russian caravanning – rather popular sort of auto-tourism in many countries. Travelers live in wheeled homes, making stops on special parkings. In order to develop this direction both in the country and in the Republic it is necessary to open the camping network first, reconstructing for that still available rest bases and ownerless pioneer camps.
