Rustem Khamitov: “Aviation is the basic branch and needs further development”

The first regional business aviation forum is held at the international airport “Ufa” today and the President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the opening ceremony.

The President RB has mentioned in his complimentary address that aviation is considered the basic branch in the whole world. The fleet of the “business jet” segment counts more than 28 thousand units for today and the necessity to widen business contacts and consolidate regional economic systems is becoming the main condition for development of the business aviation market. In his opinion this sector is developing more rapidly than the civil aviation in a whole.

“Sure, we have to admit the Russian business aviation is still found on the initial stage of its formation but taking the scales of the country into account this market can be called very promising” – the President RB said – “At that this market widens all the time since the expansion of the business contacts become an inseparable part of successful business activity”.

As for the nearest prospects, the head of the region has mentioned a wide-scaled modernization of the airport infrastructure and perfection of the air navigation services with the purpose to raise the security of the flights are required for today but for that the efforts of federal and regional authorities, air companies and investors should be coordinated.

In conclusion Rustem Khamitov has wished the participants of the forum successful work and mutually beneficial business contacts.

The site, where one may become acquainted with the models of the business aviation machinery, is opened on the territory of the airport.
