Bashkir Government approved the plan for economic development of trans-Ural zone

The Government RB approved the medium-term economic plan for development of Bashkir trans-Ural in 2011-2015.

The plan is worked up by the special workgroup and by the Institute of social-economic investigations of the Ufa Scientific Center under the Russian Academy of Sciences. The key goal of the program is stable social-ecological and economic development of trans-Ural zone for improvement of its population’s quality of life.

The approved program poses serious problems on development of Bashkir trans-Ural: comfortable and safe life for the present and the next generations in trans-Ural zone, the rise of local economics’ competitive ability on the base of already available potential, making favorable conditions for attraction of investments to local economics, employment of population. Development of woodworking productions and new technologies for deep timber cutting is also planned. Special attention will be paid to formation and development of the local tourist centers, mining operations, restoration of productions of building materials and to development of machine-building. Further development of transport infrastructure and ensuring of power engineering security are scheduled too.
