80 countries have become trade partners of Ufa in 2010

The head of Ufa administration external economic relations department Timur Sultanov made a report about the results of Ufa external and interregional economic activity in 2010 at the last meeting with the head of Ufa administration.

As he reported, the external trade turnover of Ufa enterprises in 2010 has made up 1 billion 358 million dollars. As compared with 2009 the export went up by 0,5% and import reduced by 0,1%. The positive trade balance is preserved: export exceeds import more than 4 times. 80 countries have become trade partners of Ufa in 2010.

The export share in the overall trade circulation volume made up about 81%. The USA, India, France, China, Kazakhstan and Netherlands were the main trade partners. More than a half of the export still falls on mineral resources and production of Ufa refineries.

The import share has made up about 19% of the trade turnover. Uzbekistan, China, Ukraine, the USA, Denmark and Germany were the main trade partners of Ufa. Machine-building production dominated in the import trade structure – more than 75% of the overall import volume.

Cooperation in sphere of culture was continued. Thus, in spring 2010 Ufa delegation has taken part in the international festival “Spring and Sea” in the town of Marmaris, Turkey. In November the representatives of Ufa administration have taken part in the II Eurasian municipal congress in Istanbul. The senior pupils of Ufa schools have visited the city of Halle (Germany), where they took part in the international project “The City of Children”. Ufa has also taken part in the contest “The best city of CIS and Eurasia”, held by the International Assembly of capitals and big cities.
