Three Bashkir banks joined the program for small and medium business crediting

The press-conference on the problems of small and medium business crediting activation has taken place in Ufa. The Chairman of the National Bank RB Rustem Mardanov, the President of the Russian Regional Banks Association, the State Duma deputy Anatoly Aksakov, the President of the Russian Development Bank Sergey Krukov and the chairman of the Credit Organization Association RB Aidar Zubairov have taken part in its work.
Anatoly Aksakov reported that since March 2010 the crediting volumes in the country went up by 10%. The number of the credits, given out in Bashkiria, went up by 30% but these were the credits mainly for the big enterprises and as for the crediting forms for small and medium business, our Republic still stood behind.
Various programs are worked up now for direct support of small and medium business in the country and Sergey Krukov presented one of such program at the conference. In particular, he reported that Bashkiria stood in the Top10 of the biggest allocations holders for small and medium business crediting. At present time these allocations make up 2 billion rubles and 1,5 billion are already taken out.
“We are ready to raise the quotes for Bashkiria” – Sergey Krukov stated – “At that the financing of innovational and modernization projects for small and medium business has substantial preferences. The terms of crediting in this sphere are increased up to 7 years and here we have the lowest refinancing rates – 9,95% (the average refinancing rate on this program is 14%)”.
Sergey Krukov pointed to two problems, still existing in this sphere: The difficulties with search for the bank-partners, through which the Russian Development Bank promotes its programs and not enough awareness of the business of such programs.
It is necessary to say that the Russian Development Bank represents not just a bank but special mechanism for state support of small and medium business and not all banks eagerly agree to take part in this program as its conductors because the level of risks in this sphere is still enough high and the control over the use of the distributed means is rather high too. Besides, the Russian Development Bank runs strict selection of the banks for its program, which would meet various requirements. But in spite of all abovementioned three Bashkir banks already joined the program. In a whole the program offers 12 credit products for the sums from 30-50 thousand and up to 150 million rubles.
