Japanese architect offers to construct a new low-height settlement in Bashkiria

The well-known Japanese architect Yasukhiro Yamashita has held a meeting with the students of the architectural-construction faculty of the Ufa State Oil Technical University, being on a visit in Bashkiria.
The guest from Japan demonstrated the slides with the creative architectural projects to the students. Yasukhiro Yamashita is the author of plenty of the original projects and some of his designs represent the houses, made of thin reinforced concrete, glass blocks and aluminum.
The main part of his report was devoted to the new urbanism.
“I’d like to offer a rather interesting project, which can become a reality in Bashkiria. The project presumes the conceptual approach to construction of apartment houses and accomplishment of the surrounding lands” – he mentioned – “Here one has to take the use of the natural resources without damage for environment into account. Special attention should be paid to the plants, cultivated on the farmlands. Many vegetables need much sunlight so the apartment house has to be dislocated so that it doesn’t prevent the free penetration of the sunbeams. There is the special software, able to count all these elements”.
The project is meant approximately for 150 apartment houses with the average floor space about 100 square meters, provided with the adjacent farmlands.
“I’ve discussed my proposal with the representatives of the Government RB the day before. I should say they became very interested in this project. My meeting with the President RB Rustem Khamitov is scheduled on February 19” – the architect reported.
