68 tons of meat was sold out by the villagers at the meat fairs in Ufa, held during the last weekends. More than 20 regions sent their strings of trucks to the capital of Bashkiria. The cost of beef varied between 180 and 240 rubles for one kilogram and it was the most popular at the fairs. Sellers offered one kilogram of pork at 150-200 rubles. The lovers of mutton had to pay 170-300 rubles for one kilogram. Besides, 9 tons of horse-flesh at the price of 160-220 rubles was sold out at the fairs.
The winter fairs represent the continuation of the autumn ones. Now the summer food supplies of citizens become scanty and the meat prices started to go up.
