JSC “Soda” intends to invest 800 million rubles to environmental arrangements

JSC “Soda” is considered one of the biggest enterprises in Russian chemical branch. The leadership of the enterprise fully recognizes the responsibility for protection of environment and considers the ecological direction the prior in its activity.

The enterprise constantly works over minimization of its negative impact on ecology at all production stages and the fully completed program “Ecology and natural resources of JSC “Soda” in 2006-2010” included many arrangements.

Thus, the plant installed ribbon vacuum filters instead of the drum ones and that diminished the losses of pickle for soda production by 3,5% and lowered the volumes of sewage waters by 4%.

The soda furnaces were turned from black oil to the natural gas and this step permitted to reduce the volumes of nitric oxide discharges by 1069 tons per year and sulfur dioxide discharges – by 314 tons in 2010.

In a whole the enterprise has spent more than 526 million rubles for ecology in 2008-2010. At present time the specialists of the plant work over the future ecological program for 2011-2015 with the overall environmental investment volumes more than 800 million rubles.

“We understand that it is profitable to use energy resources, natural resources and raw materials efficiently. Our main aim is to minimize the impact on environment at all stages of production processes” – the General Director of JSC “Soda” Sergey Lobastov says.
