Ministry of communication and mass communications RB and “Megaphone” will provide every village of Bashkiria with fast internet

The Ministry of communication and mass communications RB and the company “Megaphone” have negotiated cooperation. The Minister of communication and mass communications RB Boris Melkoedov and the director of “Megaphone” Volga division in Bashkiria Michael Ikonnikov signed the corresponding agreement today.

“The document isn’t declarative and includes precise directions of our cooperation, concrete actions and mechanisms of their realization” – Boris Melkoedov said – “Our population will receive mobile communication and internet services in larger volumes and of better quality in accordance with the obligations of the parties”.

“Our aim is a liquidation of digital disparity between towns and villages, so the main stress will be laid on the Republican regions” – Michael Ikonnikov reported – “Internet is an opportunity for receiving distant education and developing one’s business, so we are striving for providing all citizens RB with high-speed internet access. In 2011 “Megaphone” intends to provide 80% of Bashkir settlements with 3G communication”.
