Bashkir food prices aren’t beyond the means

Bashkir statisticians fail to register any price jumps in the food market in December but certain rise of prices for some foods was observed at the same time. Thus, flour, rye and wheat bread have become insignificantly more expensive.
Meat prices haven’t practically changed and chicken meat has even cheapened. Same can be said about butter and specialists explain this phenomenon by the last pre-New Year fairs in the Republic.
Vegetable prices started slowly crouching up and it was clear because the vegetable season was already over. Thus, one kilogram of potato has become by 4 rubles more expensive and fresh cabbage – by almost 3 rubles.
The rise of prices for sunflower oil and millet can be observed all over Russia for already the second month. For the last month the cost of sunflower oil in Bashkiria increased by 4 rubles 20 kopecks and millet became by 4 rubles 287 kopecks more expensive.
On the eve of the New Year citizens empty their purses and credit cards and this is quite normal pre-New Year demand as the specialists of the trade and consumer right protection committee RB predict. At present time the committee works over deliveries of vegetables and fruits for the Republic from other Russian regions and from the countries of Central Asia, so citizens of Ufa may figure on the forthcoming drop of prices.
