Cooperation agreement between Government RB and “Russian Railways” is signed in Ufa

The cooperation agreement between the Government RB and JSC “Russian Railways” was signed in Ufa on Saturday, December 25, concerning continuation of reconstruction of the railways stations, located on the territory of Bashkiria. The document was signed by the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Sergey Afonin and by the head of “Russian Railways” railway stations directorate Sergey Abramov in the presence of the President RB Rustem Khamitov.

According to the document the parties will start joint realization of the project for reconstruction of the Ufa railway station and future modernization of the railways stations in the Bashkir towns of Sterlitamac, Tuimazy, Yanaul, Sibay, Salavat, Beloretsk and the village Aksakovo. It is necessary to say the reconstruction of Ufa railway station started in May 2006 and the main works had to be completed by the end of 2007. But because of the problems with financing from JSC “Russian Railways” the terms of the object’s putting into exploitation were delayed. At present time the first turn of the railway station is put into operation and the joint-stock company has to start the reconstruction of the second turn.
