The bank sector in Bashkiria rehabilitates itself faster than in Russia

“After the global crisis the bank sector in Bashkiria rehabilitates itself faster than in Russia” – the chairman of the National Bank RB Rustem Mardanov stated at today’s press-conference, devoted to the totals o the outgoing year.

“The work of the bank sector in the Republic is stable, the payment system was functioning stably during the whole year and none of the Republican banks was closed” – Rustem Mardanov stated.

Faster rehabilitation of the bank system in Bashkortostan can be explained by several factors. On November 1, 2010, the bank assets in Russia have increased by 8,5% and in Bashkiria – by 15,2%. The volumes of crediting in Russia have increased by 8,7% and in Bashkiria – by 27,2%. The growth of personal deposits increased by 21,3% in Russia and by 25,3% here. The amount of the bank capitals has increased by 0,2% in the country and by 9,3% in the Republic. In 2010 the profits of the bank sector made up about two billion rubles, while its losses in 2009 reached 6 billion.
