Innovational production of the company “ECM” to be opened in Ufa

The innovational production of the electrochemical lathes of the company “ECM” will be solemnly opened in Ufa on Thursday, December 16, and this project represents the bright example of modernization in economics, commercialization of scientific designs and demonstration of the competitive ability of Russian science and technique at the global level.

The state corporation “ROSNANO”, the enterprise “Titan ECM”, the Ufa State Aviation Technical University and “RBT-Invest” have become the shareholders of the design company “ECM” for production of the lathes for high-precision manufacturing of the details from the nanostructural materials. The overall project’s budget is 285 million rubles and the investments of “ROSNANO” make up 120 million rubles.

At the meeting of the Commission on modernization and technical development of Russian economics the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has stated the day before that one of the main problems in modernization of Russian economics is the inability to combine the available technical potential with the business approaches to modern designs. The example of “ECM” shows that Bashkortostan has the real examples of successful combination of the designs, made at the global level, the engineering mastery and the ability to run business.
