42 billion rubles will be invested to timber industry of Bashkiria

Bashkiria faces shortage of investment projects in timber industry and in a whole this branch experiences many problems, which need urgent solution, as it was stated at the meeting of the Government RB, held by the President RB Rustem Khamitov on December 13.

Poor developments of anti-fire measures, the unwillingness to struggle with the plant pests and restrictions in activity of small and medium business were called among the main problems.

The program for development of the Bashkir timber industry presumes opening of more than 6000 workplaces in sphere of small and medium business undertakings.

In the nearest five-ten years the productions of saw-timber, charcoal, panel houses, the veneer and woodworking mills and a new nursery forest have to appear in the Republic. Erection of a pulp and paper mill is scheduled for a long-term perspective.

More than 1000 economic entities are registered in the Bashkir timber industry for today but in reality only a half of the entities can be called really active. The program anticipates the increase of the economic agents two times. By 2020 the overall volume of investments to the Republican timber industry has to be more than 42 billion rubles, the public affairs service of the President RB reports.
