Rustem Khamitov: We need at least a dozen of such enterprises as the Ufa Transformer Plant

“We need at least a dozen of such enterprises as the Ufa Transformer Plant” – the President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov said today in the course of an inspection visit to the plant – “Only in this case we will be able to make our industry really up-to-date”.

The General Director of JSC “ELECTROZAVOD” Leonid Makarevitch demonstrated all workshops of the enterprise to the President RB. The holding consists of five plants and two of them are found in Ufa. Construction started in 2006 and at the end of 2009 the input of this industrial object into exploitation was approved. The first production line was launched in February 2010.

The capacity of the plant allows manufacturing a wide range of power transformers with the voltage up to 500KW and the capacity up to 267 megawatt-amperes. The plant started production of the feeder transformers with the voltage up to 35KW and the capacity up to 4000 kilovolt-amperes. At present time erection of the facilities for widening of the production of the measuring current transformers and production of high-voltage commutation equipment with the insulated gas infill is close to the end.

In 2011 the plant has to reach full production capacity, which exceeds 27 million kilovolt-amperes per year.

The work of the innovational production for manufacturing of the modern power engineering equipment is laid within the frames of the program of the Russian Government on modernization and import-substitution. For today the plant’s output is quite competitive both with the Russian and foreign analogues and the innovations, inculcated here in the technological production, allow manufacturing the transformers, meeting the highest world standards in the electrotechnical branch.

The dislocation of the plant is also important. It is found in the center of Russia and it is quite convenient for the customers.

In 2011 the holding intends to launch the plant for production of commutation equipment and the overall number of the workers at these two plants will exceed two thousand people. The Ufa Transformer Plant has become one of the biggest tax-payers in the Republic. Its assessments to the regional budget and social funds are about 750 million rubles. The investments of JSC “ELECTROZAVOD” to erection of a new production in Ufa exceeded five billion rubles and more than 340 million was invested to creation of local social infrastructure.
