There are still four multi-millionaires in Bashkiria

The number of the multi-millionaires hasn’t changed in Bashkortostan for the last year. There are four of them in the Republic at present moment.

“They’ve earned these billions as a result of operations with the securities” – the head of the Federal Tax Service in Bashkiria Marat Vakhitov told the journalists – “So this fact characterizes either the growth or the fall of the overall prosperity in no way”.

There are more than ten thousand citizens in the Republic, having the incomes more than one million rubles and the head of the local tax service says we observe certain reduction of such people now. There were about 12 thousand millionaires in Bashkiria before the crisis.

At the same time it is impossible to monitor the information about people’s incomes completely. Thus, the information about realty comes from different sources of the tax services and used only for taxation. If legal estate can be fully monitored and taken in taxes, the registration of the property for a new cottage, for example, can extend for many years and during this process this realty isn’t registered as a property and, correspondingly, isn’t taken in taxes. The realty, handed down, is also hard to monitor.

At the same time the incomes of the public servants can be easily traced even by ordinary internet users since in accordance with the Russian legislation the functionaries have to declare their own incomes and property as well as the property of their close relatives. This information can be found on the sites of many federal executive power bodies.
